“My art is an expression of what is inside me”
When asking Sheila what made you decide to be an artist – Her response was I didn’t decide, it has just always been a part of me. When my childhood friends would be outside playing on the swings or with dolls I was inside painting. That’s all I ever wanted to do. My Mother kept all my paintings.
When I was nine years old I decided to organize my first art show. All the art was designed and created by me and I organized everything. This is where I sold my first painting at only 9 years old. I was so excited but no one was more excited than my mother who was my biggest supporter. Still to this day I wake up in the middle of the night with my creative ideas!
