Chef Jay’s Dining Story

Born in Keene Ontario, I was only 3 years old when my passion for food, flavours and cooking began. I was the type of child who watched cooking shows instead of Sesame Street. Moving to Port Hope and quickly developing a love for the small town and its food culture, I began in the front of house, bussing at a local restaurant however; I quickly found his passion in the kitchen.  After studying at Fanshawe College for Food and Beverage Management; I became a sous chef at a local fine dining restaurant in down town Port Hope. Here I learnt the fast-paced environment and extensive hard work that goes into creating local, homemade food.
