Chef Murray’s Dining Story
My love of cooking began with my first job as a dishwasher in a Greek restaurant. I was fascinated by the way the Chef and cooks worked together to create flavorful dishes. It was like watching a conductor leading an orchestra. I began cooking in small restaurants and from there to hotels and fine dining. After a few years I successfully challenged for my Red Seal. I spent 15 years with Aramark Canada, several of those at 15 Wing, Moose Jaw. Some of my career highlights have been cooking for HRH Prince Charles, HRH Prince Edward, Prime Ministers Jean Chretien and Brian Mulroney, Premier Lorne Culvert and Lieutenant Governor, Linda Haverstock. Most recently, I was a Chef Instructor at Sask Polytechnic Moose Jaw Campus.
