My love of cooking started very young. I would often find myself in my great grandmothers’ kitchen watching her prepare meals for our very large family. One of my favourite childhood memories it going apple picking and then returning home to create amazing apple pies from scratch with my grandmother, a recipe I still use today! I’ve always had my hand in the kitchen while growing up but started to get freedom and creativity over my creations around the age of 12. I had decided that this is what I wanted to do then and continued learning through out the years through family and school. I started my first job in a restaurant at 15 as a line cook in a Diner/Pizza place. In 2006 I had earned my diploma in Culinary Management at Loyalist College.
After Graduating I traveled to Alberta to work for the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise in the four-star restaurant. My travels have taken me to many places in many different levels of the hospitality industry. A few years ago, I took a position at a newly built retirement community. I instantly fell in love with working with in the senior community. I have enjoyed creating delicious foods while creating a feeling of home, sharing laughs and stories with an amazing group of people. I am looking forward too many more years.
