Joyce’s Christmas Memory

I was 14 years old, I was the oldest grandchild and Christmas dinner I had to sit with the little kids at the kids table. I vowed that when I grew up and hosted Christmas dinner I would have everyone sit at one table. And I did!  We were lucky to have the room – I put a bunch of card tables together all the way through the kitchen, dining room, the big hall, and into the living room.  We usually had about 25 people – one year we had 37!  I never separated the kids from the grown ups, and I would shuffle the names and place them randomly. Everyone liked it!
