Barb and her family started a Holiday tradition in 2004 that continued at the family home every Christmas until Barb moved to Harvest Crossing. In 2004, Barb was shopping at the local Costco store & spotted a Christmas miniature village set, this was the start of a family tradition. Every year Barb and the family would expand the Christmas village. The Christmas village grew to a good size and the family decided to displayed it on the dining room buffet cabinet, that Barb’s husband Joe made. The Christmas village had a special meaning of Christmas for the family.
When Barb move into Harvest Crossing in 2017, she missed having the Christmas village set up for the holiday season. This year Barb decided it was time to have this holiday tradition brought back, so she asked her family to bring the Christmas village to her suite. Barb worked diligently to set up the Christmas village, but one important aspect just was beyond her ability, getting the lights to work in the village. Barb was speaking with one of the new residents at Harvest Crossing Len and he volunteered to help her get the Christmas village lit up for the holiday season.
The Christmas village tradition will now continue for Barb!
