I became interested in a career of nursing in high school.
On my walk home I would stop in at Toronto East General to see my Aunt who worked there.
I could observe some procedures (no restrictions then)!
I was stopped my training in 60’s and put my nursing on hold to get married.
After having children and they started I returned to finish training.
I continued our family tradition.
My Grandmother was a nurse in England.
My aunt was a nurse missionary in Africa.
My Cousin was a nurse and her children became doctors Still working at Toronto East General today.
My daughter, her daughter (my granddaughter) and my great granddaughter are all nurses.
It’s a family thing I guess!
My favorite part of Nursing was the bedside nursing. Taking care of the people.
